Atlantis Models' licensed kit of the iconic saucer from the 1956 Columbia film, with effects designs by Ray Harryhausen. A 5-inch diameter snap kit using Twist-Tite no-glue assembly, with a pulsing LED light unit, two display options (main gun deployed for attack, or landing tube for ground assault), plus a display stand and backdrop. Skill level 1, ages 8 and up — an easy build and a great display piece for sci-fi and movie collectors.

Earth vs. the Flying Saucers defined the look of the flying saucer in popular culture: Harryhausen's stop-motion spinning discs levelling Washington landmarks became some of the most imitated effects shots in science fiction. The film's saucer design has influenced everything from Mars Attacks! to Independence Day.
