AMT8688 - AMT 1/24 Ferrari 250 GT S.W.B. - WWWEB10112542
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB (Short Wheelbase) was introduced at the 1959 Paris Motor Show and built through 1962. Developed by Bizzarrini, Chiti, and the young Forghieri — the same team that later created the 250 GTO — it used a 94.5-inch wheelbase, disc brakes (a Ferrari GT first), and a 3.0L Colombo V12 producing 240–280 hp depending on specification. Of 176 examples built, bodies were steel or aluminium in road or racing trim. It won Ferrari the GT class of the 1961 Constructor's Championship and remains one of the most valuable Ferraris at auction.
