Chevrolet marked thirty years of the Camaro in 1997 with a Z28 package that deliberately echoed the 1969 Indy Pace Car: Arctic White paint with Hugger Orange stripes, white five-spoke wheels and white leather trim. Under the hood sat the 350 cubic inch LT1 V8, and buyers could take the anniversary treatment as a coupe or a convertible. It was the last hurrah for the stripe-and-white formula before the LS1 arrived for 1998.
