Deep Space Station K-7 is one of the most memorable locations in Star Trek: The Original Series, best known as the setting of "The Trouble with Tribbles" — the episode where a seemingly harmless cargo of small furry creatures revealed a Klingon plot aboard the station. AMT's 1/7600 scale kit captures the station's distinctive three-armed design with its central hub, cylindrical passageways, and three disc-shaped habitat modules. At this scale the finished model is an impressive 15 inches wide, making it a striking display piece. A miniature in-scale U.S.S. Enterprise is included to orbit the station, and the kit is reissued here in packaging that replicates the original 1970s release. The tooling itself dates to 1976, making this one of the earliest Star Trek kits in existence.
