AML72023 - AML Models 1/72 Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 American "Flying Tigers" Over China - WWHP111798
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Curtiss Hawk 81-A2 was the export version of the early P-40 series, broadly equivalent to the Tomahawk IIB, and became the iconic mount of the American Volunteer Group, the "Flying Tigers," who flew for the Chinese Air Force against Japanese forces over China and Burma in 1941 and 1942. Famous for their shark-mouth nose art, these aircraft were flown by pilots such as Robert Neale, Robert T. Smith, and Gregory "Pappy" Boyington. This short-run kit includes resin and photo-etched detail parts and a comprehensive decal sheet covering six AVG aircraft.
Box contents:
- Injection-moulded grey plastic sprues
- Resin cast detail parts (cockpit)
- Brass photo-etched fret
- Vacuform clear canopy
- Waterslide decal sheet with markings for six AVG "Flying Tigers" aircraft
