The Marder II "D" (Sd.Kfz. 132) was an early German self-propelled anti-tank gun built on the lengthened Panzer II Ausf. D/E chassis. It mounted a captured Soviet 7.62 cm field gun, rechambered as the 7.62 cm PaK 36(r), in a tall open-topped fighting compartment. Rushed into service in 1942 to counter Soviet armour, it gave Panzerjäger units a hard-hitting gun on a mobile tracked platform, and it saw most of its service on the Eastern Front.

This is the ALAN Ltd (St. Petersburg, Russia) 1/35 kit of the Marder II D, from their Military Miniature Series (No. 011). A short-run kit with multilingual instructions (Russian, German, English, Japanese) and factual history.
