Description
AIRA03085A - Airfix - 1/72 BAe Hawk T.MK.1A - WWHP113282
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The BAe Hawk entered Royal Air Force service in 1976 as the replacement for the Folland Gnat and the Hunter in the advanced and weapons training roles, and it proved so well judged that it is still doing the job decades later. The T.Mk.1A designation covers aircraft wired to carry Sidewinders and a centreline gun pod, giving the RAF a pool of trainers that could be pressed into point defence duties if needed. More than 1,000 Hawks have been built for operators around the world, making it one of Britain's most successful postwar aviation exports.
