Description
AIR01054 - Airfix 1/72 DeHavilland DHC-1 Chipmunk - WWWEB10108310
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Chipmunk was de Havilland Canada's first indigenous design, built from 1946 as a Tiger Moth replacement and produced in Canada, Britain and Portugal. The RAF used the T.10 for initial flying training for decades, and Air Experience Flights gave thousands of Air Cadets their first taste of flying in one. The red and white training scheme is the version most people picture, and plenty of Chipmunks are still airworthy today.
Made in France by Heller for Airfix. Series 1, so a small and straightforward build.
