AFVAF35S61 - AFV Club 1/35 2cm Flak 38 Quad w/metal barrels - WWHP112387

The 2cm Flakvierling 38 mounted four Rheinmetall 2cm FlaK 38 cannon on a single traversing carriage, with the gunner firing opposite pairs of guns alternately via foot pedals — allowing sustained fire of up to 800 rounds per minute in practice. It served across all theatres and platforms: ground mounts, U-boats, surface vessels, railway flak wagons, and flak towers. Allied pilots had particular respect for it, as the high combined rate of fire made it devastating against low-flying aircraft. The AF35S61 is the gun-only Special Edition with machined metal barrels; no Sd.Ah.52 transport trailer is included.

Note: The raised hand grips on the metal barrels are documented as inaccurate — the real barrels had recessed fluting. Aftermarket barrel sets from Aber (35L087) or Griffon (LB35005) are available for correction. The triangular base is compatible with the Bronco Sd.Ah.52 trailer (CB-35079) with minor trimming.
