Based on the Swiss MOWAG Piranha and built by General Motors Diesel in London, Ontario, the LAV-25 family entered US Marine Corps service in the 1980s. The LAV-AT anti-tank variant carries the Emerson "Hammerhead" twin TOW missile launcher, which folds down for travel and raises to fire, giving Marine light armoured reconnaissance units long-range tank-killing power. It saw combat in the Gulf War, Iraq and Afghanistan, and ACE's kit depicts a desert-camouflaged vehicle from the "Legion of Doom" crew.
