ACE72222 - ACE - 1/72 Pak.38 5cm Gun - WWHP113687

Preowned, Resealed, Mint

Developed by Rheinmetall-Borsig from 1938 to replace the outclassed 3.7 cm Pak 36, the 5 cm Pak 38 reached German units in 1940 and saw widespread use from 1941 onward. It was one of the few German anti-tank guns able to deal with the Soviet T-34 and KV tanks in the early Eastern Front campaigns, and its curved, spaced gun shield and distinctive muzzle brake made it instantly recognizable. Although supplemented by the larger 7.5 cm Pak 40, it remained in service in large numbers until the end of the war.
