Panzerkampftwagen III Ausf.F - Operation Citadel, the Battle of Kursk.
The Panzer III Ausf. F was one of the improved early-war variants of Germany’s Panzer III medium tank, developed to enhance combat effectiveness during the escalating armoured battles of World War II. Featuring upgraded armour protection and the 5 cm KwK 38 L/42 gun (later L/60 in field upgrades), the Ausf. F represented a key step in the evolution of the Panzer III before heavier Allied armour forced further redesigns. During Operation Citadel at the Battle of Kursk in 1943, Panzer IIIs still formed a significant part of German Panzer divisions, where they operated alongside Panzer IVs in large-scale armoured engagements on the Eastern Front.
Academy’s 1/35 scale kit accurately recreates this historic vehicle in its Kursk configuration with finely detailed exterior moulding, realistic suspension layout, and historically inspired markings.
