The F/A-18A+ Hornet is an upgraded version of the original carrier-based multirole fighter developed for the United States Navy and Marine Corps. Operated by VMFA-232 “Red Devils,” one of the Marine Corps’ oldest and most distinguished fighter attack squadrons, the aircraft served extensively in combat operations including deployments aboard USS Nimitz during operations in the Persian Gulf.
