Description
ABE35091 - ABER 1/35 DKW German Military Motorcycle Details (Fit to Tamiya)
DKW built its reputation in the 1930s on two-stroke racing machines, and in 1938 the Wehrmacht adopted the NZ 350 with its 11 hp single cylinder two-stroke engine as a medium motorcycle. The NZ 350/1 followed in 1940, modified for military use with a cast iron cylinder block, a centrifugal air filter and bracing from the frame to an added luggage carrier. Too light for heavy cross country work, it proved ideal as a courier machine and served in Europe, North Africa and Russia through the war.
- 1/35 scale photo-etched brass detail set for the DKW NZ350 German military motorcycle
- Etched spoked wheel faces to replace the moulded plastic wheels
- Mudguards, chain guard and luggage carrier detail
- Frame brackets, levers and small fittings
- Licence plate and light detail
- Designed to fit the Tamiya kit
- Fine gauge brass, so a photo-etch bending tool is recommended
- Cyanoacrylate glue and paint required, not included
