Description
TAM20051 - Tamiya - 1/20 Ferrari 312T3 Clear Cowl - WWHP111528
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The Ferrari 312T3 was introduced at the third round of the 1978 season and raced by Carlos Reutemann and Gilles Villeneuve. Designed under Mauro Forghieri, the car featured a new monocoque and revised aerodynamics developed around Michelin tyres, with power from Ferrari's 3-litre horizontally-opposed 12-cylinder engine producing around 515 bhp. Reutemann took four victories and Villeneuve his maiden win in Canada, though the team finished second in the Constructors' Championship behind the ground-effect Lotus 79. This is a 2002 "new parts" rebox of Tamiya's original 312T3 tooling, adding clear cowl and underbody panel parts to allow the engine and chassis to be displayed. Kit #51 in the 1/20 Grand Prix Collection.
