The M103A1 Heavy Tank was the improved service version of America’s last true heavy tank — a massive Cold War armored vehicle developed to counter Soviet heavy tanks such as the IS-3 and T-10. Armed with a powerful 120mm gun and featuring thick frontal armour, the M103A1 incorporated upgraded fire-control equipment and improved crew efficiency over the original M103 design. Takom’s 1/35 scale kit captures the imposing appearance of this enormous U.S. heavy tank with highly detailed moulding, workable running gear, and numerous precision parts throughout.
