Description
TAM24306 - Tamiya - 1/24 Lamborghini Countach LP500S - WWHP113859
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The Lamborghini Countach was designed by Marcello Gandini at Bertone and unveiled as a prototype at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show. With its sharp wedge shape, scissor doors and mid-mounted V12, it became the definitive supercar poster car of the 1970s and 1980s. The original LP400 went into production in 1974. The LP400 S of 1978 added the flared wheel arches, wide Pirelli tires and front spoiler that defined the later cars, inspired by Walter Wolf’s custom Countach. In 1982 the LP500S arrived with a larger 4.75-litre V12 of about 375 hp, and the tall rear wing became a popular option. This Tamiya kit builds an LP500S in red with a tan interior and the rear wing, as shown on the box art.
