Description
SPESH72087 - Special Hobby 1/72 Fiat G.55 Centauro "serie I"
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Fiat G.55 Centauro was one of the finest Italian fighters of the Second World War, designed by Giuseppe Gabrielli around a licence-built Daimler-Benz DB 605 inline engine in place of the radials Fiat had traditionally favoured. Fast, well-armed, and robust, it flew with both the Regia Aeronautica and the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana in the latter part of the war, though it was built only in modest numbers. This short-run multimedia tooling provides markings for three 2 Gruppo aircraft based at Cascina Vaga in 1944, including Tenente Ugo Drago's "Black 7."
Box contents:
- Grey injection-moulded plastic sprues (short-run)
- Clear plastic sprue (canopy)
- Cast resin detail parts
- Photo-etched fret
- Acetate film for instruments
- Waterslide decal sheet with three marking options
- Instruction sheet
