The Fiat G.55 Centauro was a single-engine, single-seat Italian fighter of the Second World War, powered by a licence-built Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine and widely regarded as one of the best fighters Italy produced. The G.55S "Silurante" (silurante meaning torpedo carrier) was a torpedo-armed development of the design, fitted to carry an aerial torpedo beneath the fuselage; only a small number were built in the mid-1940s. This is the Italian-made Supermodel kit of the G.55 family, with parts to build the torpedo-carrying variant.
