The chemical wagon carried a pressurised tank of soda-acid solution — an early form of fire suppressant used before modern foam and water systems — along with ladders for access. It was one of the workhorses of late 19th century urban firefighting, often arriving ahead of the heavier steam pumper.

Part of the same Marlin/Revell American Firefighters series as the H-700 steamer and H-702 hose reel. Moulds originated with Marlin in 1952, passed to Revell, and were sent to Brazil for the Kikoler market before being lost at sea around 1961. No reissues have been made since. The kit includes the chemical and ladder wagon, horse team, fireman figures, and accessories.

All three wagons together make a rare and cohesive display of Victorian-era firefighting equipment. An exceptionally scarce kit.
