RMXH-643 - Revell 1/72 De Havilland D.H.2 - WWHP111662
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Airco D.H.2 (designed by Geoffrey de Havilland) was a British single-seat pusher biplane fighter of 1915–16, with the engine and propeller mounted behind the pilot. This layout gave the forward-firing machine gun a clear field of fire at a time before reliable synchronization gear existed for tractor aircraft. Flown by units such as No. 24 Squadron RFC, it helped the Allies regain air superiority during the period of the "Fokker Scourge" in early 1916.
This is the Revell (G.B.) Ltd. boxing of the 1/72 D.H.2 (Potters Bar, England), based on Revell's classic "Authentic Kits" tooling, with a frameable box-top illustration and box art by B. Knight.
Box contents:
- Injection-moulded plastic parts on sprue, with movable propeller and wheels, plus detailed engine
- Detailed machine gun
- Pilot figure
- Waterslide decal sheet (authentic RFC markings)
- Illustrated assembly/painting instructions with aircraft history
