Revell's 1964 Hayate in its original "Authentic Kits" boxing, ©1964 Revell Inc., this example manufactured in Canada with the 69¢ Canadian price printed on the box edge. Dramatic period box art shows a Hayate slashing through a B-29 formation, and the side panel cross-sells the Warhawk, Me 262, and Corsair from the same range. Builds the Ki-84-Ia with pilot figure; moulded in dark green with finer raised rivet detail than typical for Revell of this era.

The Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate (Allied code name "Frank") is widely regarded as the best Japanese fighter to see large-scale service in WWII, fast and agile enough to match any Allied single-engine fighter, with the ceiling to intercept B-29s and the punch of paired 20mm cannon and heavy machine guns.
