Preowned, Resealed, Mint, Writing on box (see photo)
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 (marketed by Revell as the "Me 109") was Germany's primary single-seat fighter of WWII and one of the most-produced fighters in history. Introduced to combat in 1937 during the Spanish Civil War, it formed the backbone of the Luftwaffe through the Battle of Britain and beyond, serving in continuously upgraded variants to the war's end. Built around the Daimler-Benz inverted-V12, it remained in production in various forms for some twenty-five years.
This is the 1978 Revell (Venice, CA) boxing of the 1/72 Me 109, molded in color, based on Revell's long-running tooling. Box art and decals represent a Luftwaffe desert/tropical scheme.
Box contents:
- Injection-moulded plastic parts (molded in color)
- Clear canopy
- Rotating propeller and wheels
- Option to build landing gear extended or retracted
- Option to fit belly drop tank or bomb
- Full-color waterslide decal sheet
