In 1949 Oldsmobile introduced its overhead-valve Rocket V8 and put it in the lighter 88 body. The result was one of America’s first muscle cars, and it dominated early NASCAR. The 1950 Olds Club Coupe, with its clean, rounded fastback lines, also became a favourite of postwar customizers. They lowered it, shaved the trim, added pinstriping and personal touches, and cruised it with their car clubs. This Revell California Wheels kit builds a traditional 1950s-style custom Olds with whitewalls, pinstripes and club plaques.
