The Ferrari 250 GTO is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and valuable racing cars ever built, designed by Giotto Bizzarrini and Mauro Forghieri with a body developed by Sergio Scaglietti. Built between 1962 and 1964 in a limited run of just 36 cars, the 250 GTO dominated FIA GT class racing for three consecutive years, powered by a 3.0-litre V12 producing around 300 hp. Today surviving examples rank among the most valuable automobiles in the world, with individual cars regularly selling for tens of millions of dollars at auction.
