In 2015 the RAF marked the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain by painting Typhoon FGR.4 ZK349 in wartime Dark Green and Dark Earth over Sky. The aircraft already carried the code GN-A with 29(R) Squadron, the same code worn by the Hurricane of Flight Lieutenant James Nicolson, the only Fighter Command pilot to receive the Victoria Cross. The display circuit knew her as Gina, and she became one of the most photographed Typhoons ever flown.

Revell's 1/72 Typhoon tooling dates to 2016 and is scaled down from their well regarded 1/48 and 1/32 kits, so surface detail is fine and the parts count stays manageable. Level 3.
