The Sd.Kfz. 251/9 was the fire-support version of Germany's ubiquitous "Hanomag" half-track, mounting a short-barrelled 7.5 cm gun in the forward superstructure. Nicknamed the "Stummel" (stump) for its stubby cannon, it gave Panzergrenadier units their own organic close-support firepower from 1942 onward. The Ausf. C was the mid-war production variant with its distinctive single-piece bonnet and bolted armour fronts.

This is a Revell (Germany) 1/72 kit of the Sd.Kfz. 251/9 Ausf. C, a skill-level 4 plastic kit with a finished length of about 8.1 cm. Box art is by G. Klawek.
