The KV-122 was a late-war experimental development of the KV-1S chassis fitted with the D-25T 122mm gun from the IS-2 heavy tank, evaluated in 1944 as a potential heavy tank solution before the IS series rendered it redundant. Only a small number were built, making the KV-122 one of the more obscure Soviet armoured vehicles of the war and a rare subject in 1/72 scale. PST's kit uses individual link tracks and shares a decal sheet with the related KV-85 variant, covering multiple Red Army tactical number options.
