The Ferrari F1/87/88C carried numbers 27 (Michele Alboreto) and 28 (Gerhard Berger) through the 1988 season, the final year of the turbo era before the 1989 switch to normally aspirated engines, which is the source of the kit's "L'ultimo Turbo" (the last turbo) name. Power came from the 1,496cc Tipo 033A 90-degree V6 turbo, restricted that year to 2.5 bar boost. The car's defining moment was the 1-2 finish at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, weeks after Enzo Ferrari's death and the only race McLaren-Honda failed to win in 1988.
