Giuseppe Saronni took the 1982 world road title at Goodwood with a long uphill sprint that Italian commentary still calls la fucilata, the rifle shot. He rode Colnago frames, and the Mexico was the marque's flagship road model of the period. Protar of Bologna produced this 1/9 scale kit as part of its series of bicycles of famous champions, built largely from metal rather than plastic.
