Description
OTAOT2-16-400 - Otaki 1/48 American Fighter Curtiss P-40E "Warhawk" - PREOWNED10116910
Preowned, Original seal, Box worn
The Curtiss P-40E was the definitive early-war variant of the P-40 line, introducing six .50-calibre wing-mounted machine guns and provision for a centreline drop tank or bomb. It entered service in 1941 and saw combat across every major theatre — North Africa, the Pacific, the Aleutians, and the Eastern Front via Lend-Lease. The P-40E was exported widely, serving with the RAAF as the Kittyhawk Mk.I and with the RAF in the Western Desert, where No. 112 Squadron's distinctive shark-mouth nose art became one of the war's most recognisable aircraft markings.
