Description
MON2930 - Monogram 1/24 Troparctic Pontiac - WWHP111891
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
Dick Trickle won the 1989 NASCAR Winston Cup Rookie of the Year award at age 48, having spent decades as one of the most prolific short-track racers in America before making his full-time Cup debut. For 1990, Cale Yarborough's team picked up Phillips 66 / TropArtic sponsorship, switched from Oldsmobile to Pontiac, and changed the car number to 66 with Trickle behind the wheel. Trickle earned his only career Cup pole in the #66 TropArtic Pontiac at Dover in June 1990, and that same year won the Winston Open non-points event at Charlotte -- beating Rob Moroso by just eight inches at the finish line.
