Brad Doty of Apple Creek, Ohio was one of the most prominent World of Outlaws sprint car competitors of the mid-1980s, competing regularly against the era's dominant drivers Steve Kinser, Sammy Swindell, and Doug Wolfgang. In 1986, Doty teamed with car owner Kenny Woodruff to campaign the #18 Coors Light "Silver Bullet" Gambler chassis, winning races across the World of Outlaws and AllStar Circuit of Champions schedules. His 1987 season was his most successful, winning seven World of Outlaws features and finishing second in the series points standings. Over his career he won 73 feature events on 30 tracks across 13 states.
