Ford's redesigned 1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe was one of the standout "supercoupes" of the 1980s, sharing showroom rivalries with the Monte Carlo SS and Buick Grand National. Power came from a 2.3 litre SOHC four with an IHI turbocharger and the air-to-air intercooler from the Mustang SVO, producing 190 horsepower, backed by electronically adjustable shocks and 16 inch alloy wheels. Monogram's 1986 kit features an opening hood to display the turbocharged engine, plus optional parts for a custom build.
