The 101st Airborne Division, the "Screaming Eagles," parachuted into Normandy in the pre-dawn hours of 6 June 1944 ahead of the seaborne landings, tasked with securing the causeway exits behind Utah Beach. Scattered by heavy anti-aircraft fire and poor visibility, paratroopers regrouped in small ad hoc units and fought to hold key crossroads and bridges in the days that followed. This 1/35 scale figure set depicts a five-man vignette pairing two American paratroopers with three captured German troops.
