MATPK-125 - Matchbox 1/72 UC-64A Norseman - PREOWNED119042
Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn
The Noorduyn Norseman is a Canadian aviation icon - designed in Montreal in 1935 as the first purpose-built bush plane, engineered from the outset to swap between wheels, skis, and floats. Over 900 were built, with wartime UC-64A production for the USAAF accounting for most; one became famous as the aircraft in which Glenn Miller disappeared over the Channel in 1944. Norsemen worked Canada's north for decades, and the type is still celebrated every year at the Norseman Festival in Red Lake, Ontario.
Matchbox issue with the kit's signature choice of wheels, skis, or floats, moulded in two colours.
Contents:
- Parts in two-colour plastic with optional wheel, ski, or float undercarriage
- Decals for two schemes: Northway Aviation Ltd, Manitoba, Canada, 1974 (yellow floatplane, CF-GUE) and UC-64A, 8th Air Force Service Command, Stansted, UK, August 1944 (D-Day stripes)
- Instruction leaflet with colour plans
