The Westland Lynx was the centrepiece of the 1967 Anglo-French helicopter agreement and one of the most agile helicopters ever built - a standard Lynx still holds the absolute helicopter speed record set in 1986. Naval versions became the Royal Navy's standard small-ship helicopter for anti-submarine and anti-ship strike, while the Army's AH.1 served from the late 1970s onward. This kit dates from the type's earliest days, depicting the prototype-era aircraft in Royal Navy and Army trim.

Original 1974 Lesney issue, moulded in three colours - released the same era the real Lynx was still in flight test.
