The Boeing 727-100 was Boeing’s first trijet, and after its passenger career many were converted to freighters that became the backbone of the overnight package business. Federal Express built much of its early jet network on the 727, flying it through the 1970s and 1980s on its hub and spoke system out of Memphis. This JC Wings release shows 727-100F N504FE in the classic Federal Express colours, with a purple upper fuselage, white lower fuselage and red pinstripe, worn before the company rebranded as FedEx. It’s a great piece for cargo and FedEx collectors.
