Braniff International made its name in 1965 with its “End of the Plain Plane” campaign, which painted the fleet in bold solid colours. In its final years the airline switched to the deeper “Ultra” colours, including this rich brown. Braniff flew the long-range Douglas DC-8-62 on its routes to South America. The freighter version, the DC-8-62F, carried cargo on the same long-haul network until Braniff shut down in 1982. This InFlight200 model shows N1807 in the 1981-style Ultra brown scheme.
