The MiG-23 "Flogger" was the Soviet Union's variable-sweep successor to the MiG-21, fixing its predecessor's weak radar, short range and limited stores capacity. MiG-23MF 3646 was delivered to the Czech 1st Fighter Air Regiment at České Budějovice in 1978, and in June 1994 it received the striking "Hell Fighter" scheme to mark the regiment's 50th anniversary before being flown to the Kbely aviation museum near Prague, where it remains on display. Hasegawa released this limited edition in 2008 to capture one of the wildest paint jobs of the post-Cold War era.
