00238 - Hasegawa - 1/72 A-7A Corsair II - WWHP119805

Preowned, Resealed, Mint

Vought designed the A-7 Corsair II for a US Navy requirement to replace the A-4 Skyhawk. It was based on the F-8 Crusader but was shorter, subsonic and built to carry a heavy bomb load. The A-7A first flew in September 1965 and went into combat over Vietnam in December 1967 with VA-147 from USS Ranger. Its range, payload and accuracy made it one of the Navy’s most effective attack aircraft, and crews affectionately nicknamed it the “SLUF.” This Hasegawa kit lets you build the original A-7A in 1/72 scale.
