GUNG-471 - Gunze Sangyo 1/24 Williams Honda FW11 - WWHP111530
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Williams FW11 delivered the team its first Constructors' Championship in 1986, winning nine of sixteen races in a season ultimately settled at the final round in Adelaide. Designed by Patrick Head and Frank Dernie and powered by Honda's RA166E 1.5-litre turbocharged V6 — producing over 800 bhp in race trim and reportedly over 1,000 bhp in qualifying — the car was driven by Nigel Mansell (#5) and Nelson Piquet (#6). Mansell won five races and Piquet four, but Alain Prost took the Drivers' Championship after Mansell's tyre failure in the closing laps in Australia. Issued by Gunze Sangyo in 1987 as part of their 1/24 F1 Grand Prix series. No reissues are known.
Note: This is a Gunze Sangyo kit at 1/24 scale — not a Tamiya product, and a different scale and manufacturer from the 1/20 Grand Prix Collection kits in this inventory.
