The Ferrari 308 GTB was introduced at the 1975 Paris Motor Show as the successor to the Dino 246 GT, featuring a mid-mounted 2.9L Colombo V8 and a Pininfarina-designed fibreglass body (later steel). It became one of Ferrari's most commercially successful road cars of the era and gained widespread recognition through its use in the television series Magnum, P.I. from 1980.
