The Daimler Armoured Car was a British four-wheel-drive reconnaissance vehicle armed with a 2-pounder gun in a turret derived from the Tetrarch light tank. Its independent coil-spring suspension gave it excellent cross-country performance, making it one of the best Allied armoured cars of the war, and it served in North Africa, Europe, and the Far East before soldiering on into the 1960s. The Mk I is identified by the square ends of its gun mantlet.
