International Harvester’s Transtar line was one of the defining American highway tractors of the 1970s. The conventional 4300 series became a favourite with owner-operators, and the Eagle was IH’s premium package, with upgraded interior trim, extra chrome and distinctive striping. ERTL, best known for its diecast farm toys, launched its Blueprint Replica model kits in the late 1970s with officially licensed IH subjects. This kit captures the classic tandem-axle conventional with a sleeper box, tall chrome stacks and polished fuel tanks.
