Description
DRA6357 - Dragon 1/35 10.5cm K.Pz.Sfl.IVa Dicker Max - WWHP111863
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The 10.5cm K.Pz.Sfl.IVa, nicknamed "Dicker Max" (roughly "Fat Max"), was a German self-propelled heavy anti-tank and artillery vehicle developed in 1941 and built in a run of just two prototypes. Mounting a long-barrelled 10.5cm K 18 gun on an open-topped Panzer IV chassis, it was designed as a tank destroyer capable of penetrating heavily armoured targets at long range. Both vehicles saw combat service on the Eastern Front in 1941 with Panzerjager-Abteilung 521, where their performance was noted but the high-maintenance open superstructure proved impractical for widespread production.
