Description
DRA6232 - Dragon - 1/35 King Tiger w/ New Pattern Track, Ardennes '44, Late Prod. - WWHP113456
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Tiger II, better known as the King Tiger, was the heaviest tank to see widespread service in the Second World War, combining 150mm of sloped frontal armour with the formidable 8.8cm KwK 43 L/71. Its weight and thirst made it a difficult vehicle to keep running, and the Ardennes offensive of December 1944 exposed that ruthlessly, with narrow forest roads and fuel shortages doing more damage than Allied guns. Late production examples like the s.Pz.Abt.506 vehicles modelled here trialled the new Kgs 73/800/152 track pattern, which is what gives this boxing its name.
