The Chevrolet 15 CWT (15 hundredweight) was a Canadian-built light utility truck produced in large numbers during World War II and supplied extensively to British, Canadian, and Australian Commonwealth forces. Rugged and reliable, it served in virtually every theatre in roles ranging from personnel and supply transport to signals and command vehicles. Canadian-built CMP (Canadian Military Pattern) trucks of this type were a ubiquitous presence in Commonwealth formations from North Africa through Northwest Europe.
