The Boeing 737-8 MAX is the base model of Boeing's new generation of narrow-body medium-haul airliners, matching the dimensions of the popular 737-800 but with much better economy thanks to CFM International LEAP-1B engines and a series of wing and fuselage aerodynamic improvements. Commercial service began in May 2017, with Malindo Air as the first operator. Zvezda's 1/144 kit is an officially licensed Boeing product and depicts the Boeing house colours with its distinctive blue "8" tail.
