The narrative picks up after Armageddon: The Return of Yarrick. Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka's WAAAGH is inbound, with Speedboss Wazdakka Gutsmek's vanguard already making landfall. Commissar Yarrick's desperate call for reinforcement triggers Operation Imperator - a coalition of Space Marine Chapters converging on the besieged planet before Imperial resistance collapses.

The Blood Angels lead the response, joined by the Ultramarines, White Scars, Salamanders, Crimson Fists, and more. The box artwork deliberately echoes 2nd Edition 40K - Armageddon has been a central conflict in the setting since the 90s, and GW knows exactly what this setting means to the players who have been here longest.

The included Operation Imperator lore book covers the full campaign background - objectives, deployments, and the commanders leading the Imperial response.

Captain with Relic Shield

Master-crafted power sword and relic shield in a dynamic front-line pose - built to go toe-to-toe with Orks in close combat. Three head options: bare, Mark X crested helmet, and classic Mark VII with Laurels of Victory. The natural centrepiece of the Space Marine side.

Primaris Librarian

New sculpt, channelling psychic power along a force staff that doubles as a lethal close combat weapon. A classic Space Marine character type refreshed for 11th Edition.

Chaplain with Jump Pack

New sculpt. Speed, close combat lethality, and the morale-boosting abilities of the Chaplain role in one model. The natural leader for the Vanguard Veterans in the box.

Primaris Ancient

Carries the Armageddon campaign banner with sculpted detail and open space for freehand or Chapter transfers. Supports Intercessors in holding and contesting objectives.

Intercessors (10)

The core battleline unit, now sporting helmets and plating from multiple marks of power armour - a deliberate narrative nod to the attrition of endless war. Characterful poses throughout: reloading, using an auspex, throwing a grenade. Solid all-rounders with good shooting and decent melee.

Vanguard Veterans with Jump Packs (5)

Jump pack-equipped close combat specialists - precision strike against enemy characters or clearing infantry from contested objectives. Natural pairing with the Chaplain.

Eradicators with Heavy Bolters (3)

Mk X Gravis armour, armed with heavy bolters rather than the melta rifles of previous variants - specifically optimised for killing Ork hordes. The right weapon for this box.

Primaris Land Speeder

The classic anti-grav attack craft returns with an updated design consolidating the Tornado and Typhoon variants into a single flexible hunter-killer platform. Fast, mobile fire support - a welcome return to the range.

Transfer sheets included for Blood Angels, Ultramarines, White Scars, Salamanders, and Crimson Fists. Nothing on the sculpts ties them specifically to the Blood Angels - paint them as any Chapter.

Da Warboss

New sculpt. Kustom shoota and kustom choppa - covered for every situation. The biggest model on the Ork side, his presence drives nearby Boyz to fight harder. Natural centrepiece of the horde.

Bigboss

Entirely new unit. The Warboss's enforcer - keeping the rowdy Boyz in line with a two-handed big choppa and extending command across the battlefield. A meaningful addition to the Ork roster, not a resculpt of something existing.

Bannernob

An experienced veteran carrying the Waaagh! banner - a near-religious icon that has clearly cost a pile of rivals their lives to acquire. Buffs the surrounding mob and adds serious character to the force.

Painboy & Grot Orderly

Half field surgeon, half mad scientist. The Painboy staples arms and heads back on mid-battle with no regard for sterile technique - his ability to return wounded models to the fight makes him genuinely valuable, not just flavourful.

Weirdboy

The Ork psyker, channelling Waaagh! energy with complete disregard for personal safety. Emerald lightning, acidic projectiles, and the occasional spontaneous head explosion are all valid outcomes, and most Orks consider any of them a decent result.

Ork Boyz (20) with Boss Nob

Updated to carry both shoota and choppa simultaneously - effective at any range and terrifying in numbers. The backbone of the Ork force and the majority of the box's model count. Boss Nob included with choice of kombi-rokkit or kombi-shoota.

Gretchin (10)

The lowest of the low, pressed into battle to screen the horde and skulk on objectives. New sculpts with strong callbacks to classic Gretchin kits - serious collector appeal alongside their battlefield utility.

Wartrakk

An update of a much-loved classic. Heavy rokkit launcher fire support with the speed to get it exactly where it's needed.

Big Mek Dakkarig

Brand new unit. A walking weapon platform piloted by its Big Mek inventor, armed with a rotating blitzcannon. The centrepiece model of the Ork side and the most significant new kit in the box - a fully original addition to the faction, not an update to something existing.

Transfer sheets included for Bad Moonz, Evil Sunz, and Deathskullz. Nothing clan-specific on the sculpts - paint them however you like.

11th Edition Core Rules Booklet
